Tour of the Verraux mountain range

A natural boundary between Vaud and Fribourg, the Verraux range offers a bird's-eye view of the Lake Geneva basin Intyamon and the Fribourg Pre-Alps. On this outing, your enthusiastic local guide knowledge and love of nature and the mountains. He or she will take you through alpine pastures, mountain valleys and mountain paths, on a loop hike that takes in the Col de Jaman and the Col de Pierra Perchia.

Hike to Folly (and Molard optional)

Tour of the heights of the Riviera with panoramic views of Lake Geneva and the Préalpes fribourgeoises. Your enthusiastic local guide will be delighted to share with you his or her knowledge and love of nature and the mountains. He or she will take you through forests and alpine pastures to reach the two summits of Folly and Molard.

Gorges de l'Avançon on Bex

Departure by train from Montreux to Bex. We then take the shuttle bus to Frenières sur Bex. Frenières sur Bex (public transport journey time 40 mins). This is the start of our tour of the Gorges (alt. 869m) as far as Les Plans-sur-Bex (alt. 1087m).

Variant for regular walkers
You can continue the escapade by walking to the Pont-de-Nant (alt. 1253m). This is a 5km walk. This section crosses the upper gorges of the Avançon. Once you reach the Pont-de-Nant, you can eat at the Auberge de Pont-de-Nant.

Hike to Le Cubly via the Sentier des Narcisses

There are two ways of getting to Sonloup from Les Avants station: on foot or by funicular. For the first option, take the footpath that starts to the left of the funicular departure point and which takes around half an hour to reach the funicular's arrival point. Go to the left (SW) of the building to start the ridge path. It is well signposted and marked. You quickly enter the forest and then reach the Belvédère du Cubly, from where you have an uninterrupted view of the Lake Geneva basin, from the Chablais to the Jura. Explanation of the history of the Montreux region. At the bottom of the first set of stairs, it's finally time to take out the camera, as there's a meadow full of daffodils on the left. If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of wildlife.

Mont-Pèlerin hike

If you'd like to discover the Lake Geneva region, this hike offers an exceptional itinerary above Lavaux, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We start the walk with a trip through the woods to reach the heights of Mont-Pèlerin, with its breathtaking views of the Alps and Lake Geneva.

Difficulty: relatively easy, suitable for families

Variant
A slightly longer walk, but still accessible. You can combine the walk with a ride in the Plein Ciel panoramic elevator (CHF 5.- per person) to enjoy a unique view of the Riviera and its surroundings.
