Awarded 14 points in “Gault et Millau” (the influential French restaurant guide), the Auberge de l'Onde brings to life the traditions of good hospitality and gastronomy. At the heart of Lavaux UNESCO and the village of St-Saphorin, this gourmet restaurant has served delicious food to its guests for over 7 centuries. Fish from the lake and typical Vaudois dishes, with accents of French gastronomy, are served in the traditional atmosphere of its pint or in the elegant dining rooms. Upstairs, the grill welcomes lovers of perfectly cooked meat.
The master of the house, Jérôme Aké Béda, is known as the specialist of the Chasselas, a king of Lavaux grapes. Awarded Sommelier of the Year in 2015, he advises guests perfectly on how to accompany their dishes.
Built in the 13th century, the Auberge de l'Onde is classified as a monument of regional importance, while its original sign is protected by the Swiss Confederation. The restaurant, which derives its name from the commune coat of arms, has served the most famous guests in the region.
