My day in Villeneuve
Let's go together to Villeneuve ! Only 5km from Montreux, you can walk along the lake by the flowery quays and enjoy the view on the neighboring mountains while avoiding the traffic. This small city, close to the Grangettes natural reserve , offers magnificent vineyards where Chasselas, Pinot noir, Merlot and more see the light ! Not to mention a privileged access to the lake ?.
A charming stopover
Located near the train station, Nautic Loisirs offers paddleboards, paddleboats, kayaks and boats for rent, as well as classes for any level! Perfect to spend a sporty and refreshing day on Lake Geneva.
Don't miss out on the historic town of the Ville neuve de Chillon with its monuments dated from the 13th century. A lot of stories hide behind the city walls! Follow a tour guide who will be able to reveal some well kept secrets.

Steps
1. Next stop : Villeneuve
Next stop, end of the lake! At just 15 minutes from Montreux on board of the Belle Epoque boat, we can enjoy the view as well as the statue of Freddie Mercury which is gradually fading away.
2. The medieval village
Arrived at our destination, we discover the medieval village of Villeneuve. At the program, historical buildings and small boutiques.
3. Exploring and paddling
It is time to cool down, so let's rent a paddleboard at Nautic loisirs. Goal: Paddle around the Island of Peilz, the only natural island of Lake Geneva.
A well-earned ice cream
Paddling makes you hot, so an ice cream is always appreciated ?. Towards the pool's refreshment bar for a little relaxing and sunbathing !
5. A digestive stroll
A digestive promenade won't do us any harm ! In less than 30 minutes along the lake, we reach the majestic Chillon Castle.
6. Take a dip in the water
Take a break at the beach of Chillon, a real harbor of peace. We can't resist this view! We put on our swimsuits and make the most of a last swim, one-on-one with the castle.
7. Admire the view
A breathtaking view from the public bench. In addition to the castle, we get a glimpse of the glacier 3000 ! Time to take some pictures for our Instagram page...
8. After effort comes comfort
What could be more pleasant than a good glass of Chasselas and a plate of perch filets ? We pick the terrace of the Contretemps to eat and enjoy the last rays of sunshine.
