How can I get to the Chillon castle?

The fastest way to get to Chillon castle is by bus n°201 which runs every 10 minutes. From the Grand'Rue in Montreux (10 min. journey), Vevey train station (31 min. journey) and Villeneuve train station (4 min. journey). Alternatively, go there on foot and admire the lakeside flowers along the way - from Montreux (45 min. walk) or Villeneuve (20 min. walk). In summer, it can also be reached by boat (10 min. journey).

What can I use the Montreux Riviera Card for?

The Montreux Riviera Card is distributed by Montreux-Vevey-Villeneuve hotels, campsites, holiday apartments, and B&B's to customers staying in the region. It gives access to free travel by public transport. This card can not be purchased.

Where is the Freddie Mercury statue?

The Freddie Mercury statue is on Montreux's quays, by the lake across from the Place du Marché, 3 minutes from the information centre.

Is it possible to fo to Geneva by boat?

The station at Rochers-de-Naye is located at above 2,000m altitude and is accessible in 1 hour from Montreux via a cog railway, with trains running hourly (not accessible by car). There is lots to do there, such as hiking, skiing in winter, and visiting the marmot park or the "La Rambertia" alpine garden.

How can I get to the Cailler museum in Gruyère?

Maison Cailler is located in Broc in the Gruyère region. By car, the journey is 45 minutes, and on the MOB train it takes around 1:30. During the summer season, you can use the "Chocolate Train” special package.

Glacier 3000 is located in the Diablerets region, in the Vaud Alps, where snow reigns all year round. It can be reached in 1 hour by car or in 2 hours by train from Montreux.

Chaplin’s World is located on the slopes above Vevey, on the Chaplin family estate. It is divided into 3 parts: the Manor, the Studio and the Park. It can be reached by car, and bus n° 212 from Vevey-Place du Marché.

When will the next Winegrowers Festival be held?

The Winegrowers Festival, which is celebrated four times a century, took place from 18 July to 11 August 2019 on the Grande Place in Vevey. The next one will be in summer 2039.

What can I see in Les Grangettes, and how can I get there?

The Grangettes Nature Reserve is Lake Geneva's largest reed bed, and is of international importance. You can observe a diverse range of flora and fauna, waterfowl and migratory birds from the observation tower or around the 3 ponds. Access on foot, 10 minutes from the CFF train station or La Tronchenaz car park.
