UNESCO-listed Lavaux vineyard terraces
Take a walk through some of the most beautiful scenery in Switzerland: the UNESCO-listed Lavaux vineyard terraces are criss-crossed with marked trails with stunning views over Lake Geneva and the Alps. Little trains on wheels help you up the incline so you can enjoy a walk at your own pace.
History of Lavaux
The history of Lavaux, one of the most beautiful regions of Switzerland, is ancient, rich and naturally linked to wine production.
Situated between Lausanne and Chillon Castle alongside Lake Geneva, Lavaux is one of the most beautiful parts of Switzerland, with its man-made vineyard terraces listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. The area is equally known for its walks, villages and, of course, its wines.
Dézaley Grand Cru AOC
Located entirely within the commune of Puidoux, in the UNESCO-listed Lavaux vineyards, the appellation d’origine contrôlée Dézaley Grand Cru is characterised by its breathtakingly steep vineyard terraces and its sunshine-steeped wines - mostly white.
Calamin Grand Cru AOC
The appellation Calamin Grand Cru AOC is like a jewel in the Lavaux crown. Equally precious, but also rare, the surface area of the appellation barely accounts for 2% of the Lavaux vineyards! Calamin’s elegant Grands Crus are some of the finest Swiss wines.
