A magical hike between lake, vineyard and mountain.
This trail leads the hikers from Chillon Castle to Lausanne, via Montreux, Vevey and Lavaux vineyards. The starting point, Chillon Castle, is one of Europe's most beautiful medieval castles.
From the castle, walk along the lakeshore to Territet. Near Territet train station, cross the road using the underground tunnel and continue on the "Sentier de Collonges". From this point, follow the blue vineyard trail signs all the way to Lausanne.
Walk up to Montreux old town, via "Avenue de Collonges" and "Rue du Temple". Have a look at the charming St Vincent Church. Then climb up the "Sentier des Ramoneurs", "Chemin de la Boriodaz", "Chemin de la Caudraz", "Chemin des Colondalles", and cross the highway using the bridge. Still following the blue signs, reach "Planchamp-Dessous".
Follow "Route de la Combe", "Chemin des Vignerons" and "Chemine de Forchex". Cross the highway once again, and walk to Retraverser "Crotton", "Gilamont", "Champ de Ban", and reach the village of Jongny and then Chardonne. From here, walk down to the villages of St Saphorin, Rivaz, through Dézaley vineyard and then Epesses and Riex. Continue to Lausanne via the towns of Grandvaux, Aran, Lutry and Pully. End of the hike at "Chateau d'Ouchy".
