Situated in Rivaz, between St-Saphorin and Chexbres, Bacchus Vinobar is the place for connoisseurs of Swiss wines and fans of local specialities to sample and buy the wines of the appellations Rivaz, St-Saphorin, Dézaley and Calamin.
In the heart of the UNESCO-listed Lavaux region, the modern but friendly Bacchus Vinobar in Rivaz serves local wines from April to November, from Thursday to Sunday evening (except in November and April when it is closed on Sunday evening). For tastings and other private events, the wine bar can be booked for 20 to 35 people. The old Caveau des vignerons de Rivaz can be booked for bigger groups of 25 to 75 people.
For a complete wine tourism experience, every weekend in the summer, the Lavaux-Panoramic train on wheels runs from Chexbres to St-Saphorin, via the Bacchus Vinobar, taking the most scenic routes. Situated right by the Bacchus Vinobar is the Lavaux Vinorama where visitors can watch a film all about the vineyard terraces and buy from a selection of over 250 wines, some available for tasting.
