The “Liberty” Bust
La Tour-de-Peilz
To thank the town of La Tour-de-Peilz for welcoming him, Gustave Courbet donated the bust that adorns the fountain in Place du Temple. The monument was inaugurated on 15 August 1875 in the artist’s presence.
