In the hills above the Vaudois Riviera, the Blonay-Chamby railway line has been turned into a museum railway where children of all ages feel like they’re getting into a life-size toy for a journey back in time.
Along a route with steep hillside sections, a tunnel and a viaduct, the historic Blonay-Chamby locomotives take passengers on a journey back in time through a stunning natural landscape. A real technical feat, the narrow gauge track overlooking Lake Geneva was built between 1874 and 1935.
Once arrived, passengers can linger for a while and wander around the collection of the Chaulin-Chamby museum. The sixty or so trains on show are without doubt one of the finest collections of narrow gauge railway stock in Switzerland.
The Blonay-Chamby Railway Museum also offers a variety of different excursions for groups wanting to celebrate a special occasion or simply relax and enjoy a deep sense of timelessness.
