At the Swiss Vapeur Parc at le Bouveret, steam trains run through a landscape of miniature monuments overlooking Lake Geneva.
This fun park is the only one of its kind and is much appreciated by families and steam enthusiasts.
The Swiss Vapeur Parc occupies 18,000 m2 of greenery and owns a fleet of 16 locomotives, including 8 steam engines, pulling from 4 to 8 carriages. On board the miniature steam trains, it takes 15 minutes to travel the 1,700 metres of the main track, passing in front of the miniature Swiss landmarks. There are various railway constructions – 5 tunnels, 10 bridges, 27 switches and 6 level crossings, providing journey highlights along the way.
During the Steam Festival (June 8-17), more than 90 miniature locomotives gather in the Swiss Steam Park. Night-time events are also organised in the summer.
