Located 1,200 m above sea level and only a few kilometres from the city of Montreux and the lakeside promenades, Le Coucou provides a moment of escape in a setting that is gourmet and traditional but also modern and inspiring thanks to the breathtaking view on the lake and the mountains.
The hotel-restaurant Le Coucou is a chalet nestling at an altitude of 1,200 metres above Montreux. Opened in 1959, Le Coucou was formerly called Hostellerie de Caux. It reopened its doors in 2017 after being renovated with materials from old mountain farms.
From its 7 rooms and restaurant, guests behold a magnificent panorama featuring Lake Geneva and the mountains. Such a view is conducive to sitting down with family and friends on the panoramic terrace.
The restaurant offers organic cuisine made from local products. The menu card offers Switzerland’s cheese-based recipes as well as brasserie dishes such as delicious meats and cockerel roasted whole on a spit grill, the specialty of the restaurant since it opened in 1959.
