From 1848 through the postwar period, Switzerland became a major artistic hub. This course explores the emergence of the Swiss art market and the figures who shaped a Swiss identity—from Calame to Hodler, Segantini, Vallotton, Auberjonois, and Le Corbusier—in dialogue with Europe.
