Yverdon-les-Bains Region Jura Lac: Energy and Regeneration

The Yverdon-les-Bains region, to the south of Lake Neuchâtel and the Jura mountains, basks in the aura of an exceptional natural setting. The energy emanating from these landscapes inspires and regenerates visitors to the countryside and the towns.

Yverdon-les-Bains, Lake Geneva Region's second town, combines culture with hospitality and leisure facilities in its spa complex, which dates from Roman times. The towering castle in the town centre houses one of Switzerland's oldest museums, devoted to the region's rich history.

At Grandson Castle, another key site, the tale of the famous battle between the Swiss Confederates and Charles the Bold is recounted in an outstanding setting above Lake Neuchâtel.

Around these lakeside towns, the countryside and the vineyards of the Côtes de l’Orbe and Bonvillars supply the region with local produce and fine wines.

The Yverdon-les-Bains region also offers highlights such as the Grande Cariçaie, Switzerland's largest lakeside nature reserve, the superb Clunaic abbey at Romainmôtier, the stunning Vallorbe grottoes and Sainte-Croix, centre of the music-box industry with peaks that afford breathtaking vistas.
