Discover Caux, where the charm of buildings from the Belle-Epoque period combines with the local wild landscapes and breathtaking views. This is a place imbued with a romantic atmosphere and an incomparable charm. The Empress Sissi particularly liked to come to this area for its long walks...
The historical station at the foot of the Rochers-de-Naye is waiting to welcome you as you make your way to participate in any number of winter activities, whether it is walking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, skating, or even taking a dog-sled ride. Whichever of these disciplines is for you, the multi-purpose Caux-Gresaleys trail will suit your needs.
The departure point for this itinerary is the car park of the ‘Coucou Hotel’, which is surrounded by views: Lake Geneva, Chablais, the Lavaux vineyards, the village of Avants, the Rochers-de-Naye. This panorama will be yours to enjoy for the entirety of your trip. The route begins with an ascent through the forest towards the Dent de Jaman, then a crossing through the clearings in the direction of the Gresaleys. It is here that the alpine pasture of the same name is located, in an idyllic setting at an altitude of 1,200 m. The trail can be extended a further five kilometres through the forest - off the beaten track and into the wild - should you feel so inclined.
