Montreux Jazz Festival
Created in 1967 by Claude Nobs, over the years the Montreux Jazz Festival has become the undeniable rallying point for music lovers from Switzerland and abroad.
From Miles Davis to Ray Charles, and including David Bowie or Prince, all the greats have appeared on its various stages. If jazz constitutes the historical source of the festival, other musical styles quickly found their place and share the same mutual curiosity and enthusiasm.
The Festival offers something for every taste: from concerts in the Stravinski or Miles Davis Halls to the Off-Festival in the Parc Verney, including workshops or the MDH Club, the whole town vibrates to the sound of music for two weeks. Cultivating its own character through its ambitious programming, the Montreux Jazz Festival offers an ideal platform for musicians in an intimate setting.
